A little bit about me

Hi! Thank you for visiting! I'm Brenda, and I hope this website will tell you a little bit about me and give you a glimpse of what I aim to provide at my business, Nourish.

I have always been interested in wellness and feel very passionate about helping others. Bringing the two together helped me to find work that I love.

My interest and exploration of different forms of healing and paths to well-being evolved into an excitement and interest in massage therapy. I completed my training in massage at Sedona School of Massage in Sedona, Arizona in 2009.
I aim to create an experience and environment during massage where people can turn inward and take pause from the fast and busy pace of our world.
This often leaves space where deep healing, reflection, and relaxation can occur.

I became intrigued by the psychology around relationship with food from the start of my nutrition studies at the University of Nevada, Reno. This later turned into a passion to work with those struggling with eating disorders, and a connection to the path of intuitive and mindful eating.
I started work in the field of eating disorders in 2010, and became a registered dietitian in 2015.
So much of eating disorder recovery is a turning back to the wisdom of the body and discovering what has gotten in the way of that, including the many messages that we are exposed to daily that say that our bodies are not acceptable as they are.
I also love the opportunity to work with those who do not have an eating disorder, but are seeking more balance and peace in their relationship with food, and potentially desiring to set out on a new path free of dieting, guilt, and restriction.
My hope is to offer gentle guidance that allows you to return to your inner wisdom, and a connection to satisfaction and nourishment in your relationship with food.

I obtained my yoga training from Seven Centers Yoga Arts in Sedona, Arizona in 2006.
Yoga has been integral in my life, and sharing it allows me to see that magic evolve in the lives of others.

I'd love to be a part of your journey in discovering the things that bring nourishment into your life!
